Switzerland: Lugano city allows taxpayers to use Bitcoin, and Tether to pay taxes

The Swiss city of Lugano has let people to pay taxes with cryptocurrency

Authorities in Lugano said in a statement on December 5 that people and companies can use a QR code to pay bills in Bitcoin or the stablecoin Tether

Lugano residents can pay the necessary amount using their favorite mobile cryptocurrency wallet by simply scanning a code on their bill

It further said that Bitcoin Suisse AG, a digital asset trader, manages the system's backend operations

Additionally, Liechtenstein has declared its intention to accept Bitcoin as payment for public services
